Winnie Selzer Thurston

Winnie Selzer Thurston, of Desloge, crossed the rainbow bridge on Thursday, August 3, 2023, peacefully alongside her mother Joy Selzer Thurston, human-brother Pete Selzer III and fur sisters Addie and Emma.

Winnie is survived by her loving Aunts Tracy (Rob) Burns and Carmen (Dewayne) Higgins; playmates, Joy’s grandchildren and step-grandchildren, and so many more loving family members and friends who gave the best belly rubs and generously let food fall to the ground every now and then to be cleaned up by no other than Winnie herself.

Winnie will be memorialized along with her mother at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, August 7, 2023, from 11:00 AM until service time of 1:00 PM with Pastor Chuck Lotz officiating.  Family asked that memorials be made in memory of Winnie and Joy to the choice of the donor.
